As a God fearing man that puts Christ and family first, I believe that life starts at conception. The Bible tells us this in Jeremiah 1:5

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you."

My opinion is that if you want to terminate a pregnancy, you must pay for it yourself and not use tax payers money to do so. The government should not be in the business of abortions.

I am for the right to keep and bear arms and feel strongly that this amendment shall not be infringed.

I have been asked several times recently about the "gun issue" we have in this country. We don't have a gun problem, we have a responsibility problem. Our guns are a right and that right should NOT be questioned.

I have felt the wear and tear of manufacturing for over a decade. I work beside regular blue collar workers and hear their complaints I listen.

I know and believe in the power of unions and have seen first hand what they could do to benefit my working conditions and every day life. I am a shop steward at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.

As a state and a nation, we are over taxed. I support eliminating the IRS and unnecessary tax laws to expose wasteful government spending. I'm saving $174 dollars a month in taxes because of the President's tax cuts. This money is going back into my family's pocket.

We are $20 trillion dollars in debt. There is way too much careless spending, fraud, and abuse of your money in D.C. President Trump has promised to stop that type of mindless spending and I will help in any way possible.

Common core is a disaster, the school system is teaching our children how to take tests instead of giving them a proper education. The government money they receive should be going to reform education.

Schools in the 5th district are not up to state standards for teaching our students.

After speaking to educators and school board members in the district, they have all had one thing in common. Return the education back to the community where it belongs. The federal government has too much overreach in our school system. The only way to do this, we have to abolish the department of education.
